I like a challenge. I'm not afraid of complex projects or projects that go sideways. The challenge I enjoy is solving IT and getting to that moment where I can say, "This really works!" I've been called a "design chameleon" because I can take on a different design style depending on the brief.
This is the poster I designed that made me want to become a designer. I was producing a monthly event that combined my love of film, music, and community and I needed a poster for it. I had the idea for it, but didn't have the skills or the software to create the poster on a professional level. I sketched my design and paid my graphic designer friend to produce it (he was a huge help with getting me started in school), but I knew I needed to become what I am...
I've always been creative. I grew up an autodidactic artist and love to connect with all sorts of people. Over the last decade, before going to school for graphic design, my art was primarily physical media: mostly installations for events, but also drawings, illustrations, and different types of paintings.
I've a lifetime's worth of creative experience, the will to expand my knowledge and skills, the natural knack for problem-solving, and the curiosity to perpetually innovate.
Here's to hoping we work together!
